Ganja Euro-Atlantic Information Center announces an open call on renatl of conference hall for organization of close conference of the project “Strengthening the cross-border partnership in provision of new social services for children with disabilities in Ganja-Qazakh region of Azerbaijan and Kvemo-Kartli region of Georgia” being carried out with the financial support provided by European Union and under the management of Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) within the framework of the Eastern Partnership Territorial Cooperation Programmes and services for delivering lunch and tea-coffee break for event participants.
The Committee on procurement notifies the bidders that the bids must be signed and sealed and submitted in an envelope. Simultaneously, the bidders must provide pertinent information about themselves such as address, INTP, bank charges, their scope of action).
The bidders must submit their bids to the Committee on Procurement in Ganja Euro-Atlantic Information Center by the date of 28January 2019 at 16.00 (address: Zarrabi street, Home 2, Ganja city).
Quality indicators, price factor, having a condtion for delivering high level services, provision of 3 services in the same place, having a conference hall for 50 persons fitting to modern reqirements and other criteria will be considered.Only the shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview.
Close conference of the project is forcasted to be held on 29 March 2019.
The bids submitted after the deadline will be rejected. The envelopes composed of bids enclosed by the bidders will be opened on 29January 2019 at 16.00 in the address provided above and the bidders’ authorized representatives may take part in the opening procedure of the envelopes. The bids should be valid for 60 days from the date of envelope opening.

Ganja Euro-Atlantic Information Center announces an open call on delivery of lunch and tea-coffee break in the course of trainings foreseen to be conducted in Ganja city within the months of January and February under the project “Strengthening the cross-border partnership in provision of new social services for children with disabilities in Ganja-Qazakh region of Azerbaijan and Kvemo-Kartli region of Georgia” being carried out with the financial support provided by European Union and under the management of Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) within the framework of the Eastern Partnership Territorial Cooperation Programmes.

The trainings will be held in 4 sessions. The first session is envisaged to be held on 18 January 2019.

A round table event related to more integration of children with disabilities into the society took place
On 18 January 2018, a round table event devoted to leading discussion about integration of children with disabilities into the society took place with the participation of representatives of respective local authorities, business entities and Civil Society Organizations in Ganja city.
The event was organized within the project “Strengthening the cross-border partnership in provision of new social services for children with disabilities in Ganja-Qazakh region of Azerbaijan and Kvemo-Kartli region of Georgia” funded by the European Union and managed by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and implemented by GEAIC in cooperation with the Center for Persons With Disabilities-CPWD (Georgia) and the United Aid for Azerbaijan (UAFA) within the framework of the Eastern Partnership Territorial Cooperation Programmes.
Delivering an introduction speech, Mehman Khalilov, a project manager and a chairperson of the board of Ganja Euro-Atlantic Information Center familiarized the participants with the goals and agenda of the event. Moreover, he noted that people with disabilities comprise one of the most sensitive groups of the country, therefore, their social provision, medical-social rehabilitation, and integration into the society is one of the main priority spheres of our state’s social policy. He also stressed that relevant activities carried out by business entities and civil society organizations regarding deeper integration of children with disabilities into the society and enhancement of their social inclusion contributes additional value to this sphere. Ganja Euro-Atlantic Information Center announces a vacant speaker expert position for workshop related to the subject of “Importance of proper media coverage of issues concerning persons with disabilities” scheduled to be held within the project “Strengthening integration chances of children and youth with disabilities into society through generating the opportunities of information, education and employment in Western region of Azerbaijan” being carried out with the financial support provided by European Union and under the management of Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) within the framework of the Eastern Partnership Territorial Cooperation Programmes.

Raising awareness of respecive entities and public on project activities in Goygol and Shamkir districts is in progress.
Raising awareness of respecive entities and public on project activities in Goygol and Shamkir districts is in progress. To this end, project staff of Ganja Euro-Atlantic Information Center (GEAIC) and UAFA’s Ganja Community Based Rehabilitation Center (GCBR) have started to pay their following visits to Goygol and Shamkir districts since 17 December.
During the course of visits to Goygol district, meetings were conducted in Goygol district Education Office, Goygol district branch of State Social Protection Fund, Support Center to Goygol Children and Families functioning under the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Children Section of Goygol district Central Hospital. The meetings took place with the participation of an employee of Goygol district Executive Authority, Mr. Vugar Huseynov.
Special care was given to children with disabilities
On 03 December 2018, on the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities 3 December Ganja Euro-Atlantic Information Center gave presents to 30 children with special needs who are the project beneficiaries. 3 children with movement difficulties received their presents at their homes, respectively in Ganja city, Hajimalik settlement of Goygol district and Kolayir village of Samukh district. Children were full of joy to be presented with gifts. In a gift presenting event organized at the project office of Ganja Euro-Atlantic Information Center, a chairman of the Board of GEAIC Mehman Khalilov congratulated the children on the occasion of the incoming New Year. Excursions were organized for children with special needs and their parents to the historical, cultural and recreational centers of Ganja region.
Ganja Euro-Atlantic Information Center (GEAIC) organized excursions for children with special needs and their parents involved to the historical, cultural and recreational centers of Ganja region. The main aim of these excursions was to contribute to socialization of children with special needs involved in the project. Within the excursion programme the first destination was Ganja Children’s Library. The visit was aimed to inform the children and their parents of the services of the library and encourage them to benefit from these services. The library personnel welcomed the children and their parents’ warmly and kindly and acquainted them with book expositions and story corner in the library. The librarian Kifayat Sadigova retold the “Story of the hunter Pirim” and conducted a “Riddle Hour” for children with special needs. Continue reading
Training held on Social entrepreneurship for representatives of the local NGOs
On 26-27 November 2018, the training on Social entrepreneurship for local NGOs was held in the office of GEAIC. The training aimed to equip the NGO participants with knowledge and skills on how to create sustainable and efficient social enterprise. In his opening speech, a chairman of the Board of GEAIC Mehman Khalilov informed participants of the learning objectives of the training and the role of social entrepreneurship in the strengthening of the civil society. He also emphasized the importance of the development of social enterprises as a means to provide employment possibilities for vulnerable groups. Continue reading
Training held on Advocacy and Communication for representatives of the local NGOs
On 22-23 November 2018, the training on Advocacy and Communication for local NGOs was held in the office of GEAIC. The training aimed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills to plan, implement, and monitor and evaluate a community-based advocacy campaign on CWD rights. In his opening speech, a chairman of the Board of GEAIC Mehman Khalilov highlighted the importance of the advocacy in improving quality of life of CWDs and informed participants of the learning objectives of the training and programme of the training.
