Ganja Euro-Atlantic Information Center announces a vacant speaker expert position for workshops related to the subjects of Advocacy and Communication scheduled to be held within the project “Strengthening integration chances of children and youth with disabilities into society through generating the opportunities of information, education and employment in Western region of Azerbaijan” being carried out with the financial support provided by European Union and under the management of Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) within the framework of the Eastern Partnership Territorial Cooperation Programmes.
The candidates being experienced on leading the events related to the above-mentioned subjects, having higher education and professional capacities in generation of electronic presentations and being awarded with the respective certificates on above-said spheres are requested to type “Speaker expert” to the subject line on an email and send their CVs to the e-mail address provided below by the date of 15 November 2018: euroatlanticcenter@gmail.com Only candidates shortlisted will be invited for an interview.

An event took place in Ganja city with the participation of youth with special needs
A five-day training under the theme of “Career target selection”, “Job seeking skills”, “How to write a successful CV” , “Interview skills”, “Development of presentations” and “E- learning” took place for the youth with special needs in Ganja city on 24-30 October, 2018.
This event was organized under the project “Strengthening the cross-border partnership in provision of new social services for children with disabilities in Ganja-Qazakh region of Azerbaijan and Kvemo-Kartli region of Georgia” funded by the European Union and managed by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) within the framework of the Eastern Partnership Territorial Cooperation Programmes: Azerbaijan-Georgia and implemented by GEAIC in partnership with the Center for Persons With Disabilities (Georgia) and the United Aid for Azerbaijan (UAFA).
Mehman Khalilov, a chairman of the board of Ganja Euro-Atlantic Information Center who an opening remark was made by, underlined that people with disabilities comprise one of the most vulnerable groups in our country. Namely, due to this reason, social protection of people with disabilities, their medical-social rehabilitation and social inclusion is one of the major priority spheres of the state. In this respect, the event covering respective subjects organized with the participation of the youth with special needs is rather significant for them in preparation to labor market and enhancement of self-esteem.
Following him, project coordinator Ahmad Guliyev emphasized the importance of knowledge obtained in the course of the training in implementation of future plans of the youth and advised the participants to be active in the event.
Delivering a special presentation, a speaker-expert of the event, Gulnura Safarova gave broad information to the participants on “Career target selection”, “Job seeking skills”, “How to write a successful CV” , “Interview skills”, “Development of presentations” and “E- learning”. Furthermore, group work was organized in effort to reinforce the knowledge they obtained.
In the end, discussions and opinion sharing were led around some aspects of integration of the youth with special needs into society, their e-learning and preparation for labor market during the event which took place with the participation of 16 youth with special needs and their parents.

The project “Strengthening integration chances of children and youth with disabilities into society through generating the opportunities of information, education and employment in Western region of Azerbaijan” implemented by Ganja Euro-Atlantic Information Center with the financial support provided by the Council on State Support to Non-Governmental Organizations under the auspices of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan has come to a successfull end.
Training courses on MS office sofware were organized for the children and youth with disabilities and psychological support aiming at strengthening family unity was provided for the target group and their parents living in Ganja city and its neighboring areas within the project focused upon reinforcing the opportunity of integration of the children and youth with disabilities residing in Ganja city, Goygol and Samukh regions into society. Seminar on provision of social services for persons with disabilities was organized representatives of local NGOs.
On 30-31 August 2018, a two-day seminar on “Theory and practice of providing social services for persons with disabilities” was held by Ganja Euro-Atlantic Information Center and United Aid for Azerbaijan (UAFA) for representatives of local NGOS in Ganja city.
